Ud. 7-1: Paṭhamabhaddiyasuttaṁ
Uddhaṁ adho sabbadhi vippamutto
Ayam-aham-asmī ti anānupassī,
Evaṁ vimutto, udatāri oghaṁ
Atiṇṇapubbaṁ apunabbhavāya.
Uv. 27.28 Paśyavarga
Ūrdhvaṁ cādhaḥ sarvato vītarāgo
Hy ayam aham asmīti ca nānupaśyan,
Evaṁ vimukto hi tared ihaugham
Atīrṇapūrvaṁ hy apunarbhavāya.
Ud. 7-2: Dutiyabhaddiyasuttaṁ
Acchecchi vaṭṭaṁ byāgā nirāsaṁ,
Visukkhā saritā na sandati,
Chinnaṁ BJT reads jinnaṁ, a reading that has possibly arisen owing to a confusion between ch- and j- , which are very similar in the Sinhala script.01 vaṭṭaṁ na vattati,

Kāmeṣu saktāḥ satataṁ hi mūḍhāḥ, The repetitious: clinging to sense pleasures, clinging to the shackle of sense pleasures, in the Pāḷi, is replaced with: clinging to sense pleasures, always befuddled, in the Sanskrit.02
Saṁyojane vadyam apaśyamānāḥ,
Na jātu saṁyojanasaṅgasaktā
Hy oghaṁ tareyur vipulaṁ mahāntam.
Ud. 7-4: Dutiyasattasuttaṁ
Kāmandhā jālasañchannā,
Tanhāchadanachāditā,
Pamattabandhunā baddhā,
Macchā va kumināmukhe,
Jarāmaraṇaṁ gacchanti,
Vaccho khīrūpako va mātaraṁ.

Kāmāndhajālaprakṣiptās,
Tṣṇayācchāditāḥ prajāḥ,
Pramattā bandhane baddhā,
Matsyavat kupināmukhe,
Jarāmaraṇam āyānti,
Vatsaḥ kṣīrapaka iva mātaram.

Nelaṅgo BJT reads nelaggo here, as does SHB edition of the commentary. The Burmese editions read nelaṅgo, and as we can see from the Sanskrit this is probably the more authentic reading.03 setapacchādo,
Ekāro vattatī ratho,
Anīghaṁ passa āyantaṁ,
Chinnasotaṁ abandhanaṁ.
Uv. 27.30 Paśyavarga
Nelāṅgaḥ śvetasaṁchanna,
Ekāro vartate rathaḥ,
Anighaṁ paśyatāyāntaṁ,
Chinnayoktram Pāḷi: who has cut off the stream; Sanskrit: who has cut off the yoke.04 abandhanam.
Ud. 7-6: Taṇhākkhayasuttaṁ
Yassa mūlā chamā natthi,
Paṇṇā natthi, kuto latā?
Taṁ dhīraṁ bandhanā muttaṁ
- ko taṁ ninditum-ara hati?
Devā pi naṁ pasaṁsanti,
Brahmunā pi pasaṁsito.
Uv. 29.50 Yugavarga
Yasya mūle tvacā nāsti,
Parṇā nāsti, tathā latāḥ?
Taṁ dhīraṁ bandhanān muktaṁ
- kas taṁ ninditum arhati?
Ud. 7-7: Papañcakkhayasuttaṁ
Yassa papañcā ṭhiti ca natthi,
Sandānaṁ palighañ-ca vītivatto,
Taṁ BJT reads Taṁ taṁ here, which is unmetrical and not necessary for the sense.05 nittaṇhaṁ muniṁ carantaṁ,
Nāvajānāti sadevako pi loko.
Uv. 29.51 Yugavarga
Yasya ha prapañcitaṁ hi no sat, The difficult Pāḷi: he for whom there is no diversification and persistance, is simplified in the Sanskrit version to: he for whom there is no diversification.06
Saṁtānaṁ parikhaṁ ca yo nivttaḥ,
Tṣṇāvigataṁ muniṁ carantaṁ,
Na vijānāti sadevako 'pi lokaḥ.
Ud. 7-8: Kaccānasuttaṁ
Yassa siyā sabbadā sati
Satataṁ kāyagatā upaṭṭhitā,
‘No cassa, no ca me siyā,
Na bhavissati na, ca me bhavissati’,
Anupubbavihārī tattha so
Kāleneva tare visattikaṁ.
Uv. 15.4 Smtivarga
Yasya syāt sarvataḥ smtiḥ
Satataṁ kāyagatā hy upasthitā,
‘No ca syān no ca me syān,
Na bhaviṣyati na ca me bhaviṣyati’,
Anupūrvavihāravān asau
Kālenottarate viṣaktikām.
Ud. 7-9: Udapānasuttaṁ
Kiṁ kayi rā udapānena,
Āpā ce sabbadā siyuṁ?
Taṇhāya mūlato chetvā,
Kissa pariyesanaṁ care.
Uv. 17.9 Udakavarga
Kiṁ kuryād udapānena.
Yatrāpaḥ sarvato bhavet?
Tṣṇāyā mūlam uddhtya,
Kasya paryeṣaṇāṇ caret.
Ud. 7-10: Udenasuttaṁ
Mohasambandhano loko,
Bhabbarūpo va dissati,
Upadhisambandhano bālo,
Tamasā parivārito.
Sassato-r-iva khāyati, BJT reads Sassati viva khāyati.07
Passato natthi kiñcanaṁ.
Uv. 27.6 Paśyavarga
Moṣasaṁbandhano loko,
Bhavyarūpa iva dśyate,
Upadhībandhanā bālās,
Tamasā parivāritāḥ.
Asat sad iva dśyate,
Paśyato nāsti kiñcanam.
