2. 1. 7. Anātāpīsuttaṁ (34)
vuttaṁ hetaṁ bhagavatā, vuttam-arahatā ti me sutaṁ:
“anātāpī bhikkhave bhikkhu anottāpī BJT Note: anottappī - Palm leaf book, Printed book, here and in the verse below. abhabbo sambodhāya, abhabbo nibbānāya, Editor’s note: BJT prints nibbāṇaya. BJT wavers in its spelling of this word and forms derived from it. etam-atthaṁ bhagavā avoca, tatthetaṁ iti vuccati:

abhabbo tādiso bhikkhu phuṭṭhuṁ sambodhim-uttamaṁ. [1]

yo ca satimā nipako jhāyī,
−−−−¦−−,⏑¦−⏑−− Tuṭṭhubha
ātāpī ottāpī ca appamatto,
−−⏑−,¦−⏑⏑¦−⏑−− Tuṭṭhubha
saṁyojanaṁ jātijarāya chetvā,
⏑−⏑−¦−⏑,⏑¦−⏑−⏑− Jagatī
idheva sambodhim-anuttaraṁ phuse” ti. Editor’s note: BJT omits the quotation marker iti here, presumably by mistake. [2]
ayam-pi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutan-ti.
